In the Company of Huskies has picked up two Silver awards at the annual AME Awards in New York for the agency’s campaign ‘A Micra Revolution’ for client Nissan.
The campaign, which won the Grand Prix at last year’s ADFX Awards, tells how a bespoke Irish campaign rescued the Nissan Micra brand in a declining car market. The campaign converted a generation of brand rejecters into brand supporters and doubled Nissan’s share of the small car segment to 10% in Ireland, outperforming all other European markets.
According to Damian Hanley, creative director of Huskies, effectiveness awards are very important as they prove that creativity can truly change the success of brands. “Winning two global AME awards is a huge achievement as you are competing against the best agencies in the world. It is a testament to Irish creative excellence and a tribute to our team at Huskies that are passionate about creating innovative work that genuinely connects with people and delivers business growth,” he says.
Brian Leonard, Managing Director, In the Company of Huskies adds: “The key criteria for an award win are great strategic ideas, powerful creative and successful business results which our campaign delivered. We are so delighted to have won two global AME awards for our work, and we attribute our success to Huskies ability to combine creativity with expertise in digital and data, or as we call it ‘Magic & Machines’ to produce transformational results for our clients.”
