Publicis Dublin emerged as the winner of the An Post IAPI Direct Challenge at a special ceremony which was held in Dublin last night.

As part of the agency’s winning entry, it created a direct mail ad campaign for its nominated charity Alzheimer Society of Ireland called ‘Do You Recognise Your Details.’ The agency team also picked up a prize of a week at this year’s Cannes Lions International Festival.

For its part, the charity also picked up a €20,000 An Post Direct Mail ad campaign.

The panel of judges included John Fanning, Gai Griffin, Charley Stoney and Trevor Beattie.

The runners-up for the main award included Core for its campaign ‘End Period Poverty Envelope’ for Homeless Period Ireland; McCann Blue for its campaign ‘The Story of the Snake’ for Medicine Sans Frontier and TBWA for a campaign it created for Women’s Aid called ‘Home Catalogue.’

According to Eibhin Eviston, Mail Media Manager for An Post: “With over 70 entries received for this, the first year of the Award, we were highly impressed with the quality of the submissions. Clearly, the Direct Challenge’s charitable objective played a big part in the focus of those who entered and that passion generated some highly creative work, worthy of many future inspirations Direct Mail campaigns.”
