Media Awards 2017: Carat Wins Media Agency of the Year

Pictured at the Media Awards 2017 were ‘Media Agency of the Year (ROI)’, Carat. Sponsored by RTÉ Media Sales.

Carat was named Media Agency of the Year 2017 at the annual Media Awards which were held in the Clayton Hotel in Dublin last night, April 20.

Sponsored by RTÉ Media Sales, this is the second year in a row that the Dentsu Aegis-owned agency won the coveted award. Earlier in the night the agency picked up a Gold, a Silver and three Bronze awards.

According to the judge’s citation: “This was an extremely difficult decision for the judges. All the shortlisted entrants made impressive presentations and it was very very tight at the top. Things that made the difference were the scope of the agencies offering and how that offering has evolved. Carat’s approach to new business wins in a challenging year for new business and how those who went after new business were rewarded for their efforts. A great category, filled with excellent entrants.”

In winning the Media Agency of the Year, Carat saw off stiff competition from Havas Media, MediaVest, Mediaworks, OMD, PHD and Starcom.
