Rothco has picked up a Mashie for Best Social Media Campaign at the annual Mashie Awards which are organised by the influential online publication Mashable.
Rothco picked up the award for Best Social Media Campaign for Heineken’s “Run with it”. It was a finalist in the Best PR category for its “Shred of Decency” campaign which has already picked up a Cannes Lions.
The Mashies is an annual awards program that showcases outstanding digital work in marketing, advertising and social and the awards were held in Guastavino’s in New York.
The “Run with It” campaign featured the former England and Leicester star Neil Back who infamously slapped the ball out of Peter Stringer’s hand during a scrum in the 2002 Heineken Cup final between Munster and Leicester.
It is also understood that Rothco has picked up the creative account for Failte Ireland following a pitch between the incumbent, DDFH&B, Publicis Dublin and Cawley Nea\TBWA.
