Following on from the success of its different book promotions, the Irish Independent is launching a new series of collectable World Cup soccer DVDs over the next three months.
A new promotion kicking off this week will allow readers to collect 15 different DVDs with highlights from every World Cup since 1930.
The first DVD will be distributed with tomorrow's Irish Independent free of charge while the other 14 will cost €4.99 each plus a promotional token from that week's Irish Independent.
The DVDs, which usually retail at €12.99, are expected to be available in up to 6,000 retail outlets in the Republic of Ireland. The promotion will be supported by in-store branding and dedicated radio advertising.
