€15,000 Advertising Package to be Won
4FM, in partnership with the Sunday Business Post and Unique Media, is offering a €15,000 advertising and communications package to one lucky budding entrepreneur.
This national competition aims to recognise and reward people who have taken a chance in "Doing it for themselves" and are forging ahead in business and in life in spite of the current economic difficulties.
They are seeking entrepreneurs from around the country who have set up a company or an ongoing local business initiative within the last 12 months. Local charity, community and ‘not for profit' initiatives are also invited to participate.
The winner of the "Doing it for themselves" competition will receive:
A radio advertising package to be run on 4FM, Ireland's newest radio station, which broadcasts to Dublin, Galway, Cork, Limerick and Clare.
A print advertising package to be run in the Sunday Business Post.
A tailored communications campaign by public relations and advertising experts Unique Media.
From all the applications received a shortlist of five entries will be drawn up and a panel of judges will interview each of the finalists to ultimately decide upon the overall winner.
The "Doing it for themselves" judging panel consists of Senator Feargal Quinn, founder of Superquinn; Tanya Airey, managing director of Sunway Travel; Martin Block, CEO of 4FM and Richard Curran, deputy editor of the Sunday Business Post.
To be in with a chance of winning this competition, write a 500 word (maximum) entry outlining why your initiative is a positive and inspiring example of people "Doing it for themselves".
All entries should be submitted before August 10th 2009 to 4FM via their website www.4fm.ie or posted to 4FM, Latin Hall, Golden Lane, Dublin 8.
The overall winner and two runners-up, who will each receive a radio advertising package worth €1,500, will be announced in September 2009.
