Dublin Agency Launches Major Global Campaign
Refresh, the Dublin-based digital advertising agency, has just launched a major global advertising and branding campaign in eighteen different international markets for its client Worldspreads.
The agency, which is headed up by Ciaran O'Reilly, will roll out the campaign in 18 different markets over the coming months. Every aspect of production will be managed by the Dublin agency including TV, press, radio and online in each market. The TV campaign will be rolled out before the Summer.
Worldspreads is a leading international spread trading firm with offices in Dublin, London, Cape Town and Kuala Lumpur. It is also a publicly quoted company and is listed on London's Alternative Investment Market and the Irish Enterprise Exchange.
According to O'Reilly, the fact that a digital agency has been chosen to roll out a global campaign across is evidence that more and more clients are putting digital at the heart of their marketing and advertising strategies. "Forrester Research released research in December 2009 which showed revealing that 1 in 4 clients look to their digital agency when developing their brand strategy, while 26% have requested offline creative work from them. Glue London was probably the first digital agency to emerge as a force in developing traditional advertising for clients, we see ourselves following a similar path."
"We have believed for some time that the agency of the future will have to have digital in its DNA, it is not enough to bolt on some form of ‘digital department'. The emergence of Social Media for example changes the rules of engagement between brands and consumers - maybe clients are starting to look for partners that can keep them ahead of the game. The first ones to adopt are the ones like Worldspreads which is fundamentally an online brand, and others are sure to follow".
Refresh was set up in 2007 by Ciaran O'Reilly, a former strategic planning director with a number of different Dublin agencies, Paul O'Leary a former head of creative at M&C Saatchi in Sydney and Sharon Fitzpatrick, former account director with a several advertising agencies in Dublin.
