RTÉ Bags Hyundai, Avantcard & Remus Uomo as World Cup Sponsors

With the FIFA World Cup less than a week away RTÉ Media Sales has sponsorship deals with Hyundai, Avantcard and Remus Uomo. All three brands will sponsor RTÉ’s coverage across TV, Radio and Online.

The broadcaster’s coverage of the FIFA World Cup on television, radio and online will provide live coverage of all 64 games across RTÉ2, RTÉ News Now and RTÉ Player. Over 180 hours of television coverage will be broadcast on RTÉ2 including 56 live games from Russia with eight end-of-group games streamed live on RTÉ Player and RTÉ News Now.

Fans will also be kept up to date with the latest news and updates from Russia with live bulletins throughout the day on RTÉ Radio 1 and RTÉ 2fm and RTÉ Soccer Correspondent Tony O’Donoghue will have previews, news and all the big stories as they develop.

Hyundai, Avantcard and Remus Uomo will receive an even split of the sponsorship stings playing out around the 56 games to be broadcast on RTÉ2. Stings will rotate amongst the three sponsors, with a 10 second sting at the start of live coverage and 7 second stings throughout. The sponsors will also appear around a highlights programme which will play out over 23 days of the competition.

The package also includes coverage on RTÉ Player with sponsorship pre-rolls playing out in even rotation before all live and catch-up VOD. Display adverts will also feature the sponsors on all pages of the RTÉ World Cup site.
