Ipsos MRBI Wins Grand Prix at Research Excellence Awards 2017

Damian Loscher, Managing Director of Ipsos MRBI

Ipsos MRBI picked up the coveted Grand Prix at this year’s Research Excellence Awards which were held as part of the Marketing Society’s annual Christmas lunch in Dublin’s Shelbourne Hotel.

Ipsos MRBI won the Grand Prix for its work with Nutricia Medical and the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland with a piece of research entitle “Dinner Dementia” which also won in the Public Policy & Social Research category.

Other winners on day include B&A, Ignite Research, TAM Ireland and Spark Market Research. The full list of winners is detailed below.

According to Claire McFerran, chairperson of the Marketing Society: “2017 was another great year for the Research Excellence Awards with over 50 submissions received. The judges had a very difficult time in terms of only selecting three entries for the shortlist and picking the winner in each category from an excellent field and saw a marked growth in scope and quality of work in 2017 from an already very strong base. There is no doubt that research has a significant role to play in planning, developing and evaluating marketing campaigns and business strategies for all types of organisations and it’s important to recognise this.

“Congratulations and well done to all of the winners and thank you to our esteemed judging panel chaired by Dr Kate Uí Ghallachoir.”

This year’s awards were sponsored by Irish Marketing Journal/Adworld.ie, Exterion Media, The Sunday Business Post, DMG Media, Research Now, Wide Eye Media and TheJournal.ie.
