The Dublin-headquartered communications consultancy Hume Brophy has expanded its global footprint with the acquisition of Madaket+Co, a communications consultancy firm with operations in New York and Hong Kong.

Hume Brophy’s existing operations already include offices in London, Brussels, Paris, Frankfurt, Singapore and Dublin and this marks the group’s first expansion into China.

“Bringing Madaket into the Hume Brophy network strengthens our offering across the world’s three biggest capital markets – and gives us strong, deep and expert-led teams in every key global hub,” says Conall McDevitt, CEO of Hume Brophy.

Founded in 2005 by John Hume and Eoin Brophy, and chaired by former INM executive Michael Brophy, the company has 120 employees drawn from various backgrounds including media, advertising, marketing, investor relations, professional services and industry association backgrounds.
