KBC Bank Ireland has appointed the London-based agency 18 Feet & Rising as its lead creative agency following a competitive tender that included a number of Dublin agencies as well as the Amsterdam-based KesselsKramer.

The appointment will see the agency take responsibility for brand and creative development across the KBC brand.

According to Aidan Power, director of customer, brand & marketing, KBC Bank Ireland: “More and more consumers are coming to KBC as we implement our digital-first, customer centric strategy. This new partnership with 18 Feet & Rising will see the creative agency communicate what this means for consumers and how they can experience the innovations we are bringing to the market.

“The agency was chosen as it pushed the boundaries in creative strategic thinking and they will bring something new and fresh to the KBC brand. We look forward to working with the team at 18 Feet & Rising as we develop and implement KBC’s brand strategy and lead the way as a challenger brand in Ireland.”

18 Feet & Rising is an independent, London based creative agency and the UK’s first creative agency to be awarded B-Corportion status and it has produced award-winning work for clients including House of Fraser, Clearscore and BeGambleAware.

“KBC is on a very exciting trajectory as an organisation. It has already built a great challenger brand in banking and we are thrilled to be working with such a great team of energetic and forward thinking innovators to bring the brand to the next stage of development,” says Jonathan Trimble, CEO of 18 Feet & Rising.
