Communicorp Appoints Rob Timony as Creative Director

Communicorp Group has appointed Rob Timony as its new creative director. Timony will join the business from Maximum Media where he was commercial director.

According to Adrian Serle, Group CEO: “I am delighted that Rob will be joining the Communicorp senior team. This is further evidence of our commitment to creating a world class multi-platform media business, intent on delivering inspiring marketing solutions for advertisers”

Meanwhile, Chris Donoghue has been appointed as Communicorp’s group political editor while Sarah McInerney will take the reins of her own weekly show on Newstalk 106-108fm.

Donoghue will oversee political outputs for all stations in the Communicorp Group, including Newstalk, Today FM, 98FM, Spin 1038 and Spin South West.

According to Sinead Spain, Communicorp’s group head of news: “We are delighted to announce Chris as our Group Political Editor, which reaffirms our commitment to top quality news and current affairs across all stations. Chris brings a wealth of experience to the role and we are confident he is the right candidate to lead the political agenda for our stations and the Network News portfolio.”

Donoghue will also present a two hour current affairs show on Newstalk from 11am each Sunday while Carey will take to the airwaves from 8-9am each Saturday with a newly created programme focused on current affairs and politics, as well as providing cover across the weekday primetime schedule including for Newstalk Breakfast.
