Sky Ireland has launched its popular online NOW TV platform in the Irish market, having made its debut in the UK in 2012.

The online streaming service allows non-cable customers to access Sky’s entertainment, sports and cinema content which, up until now, has only been available to existing Sky customers with a satellite dish.

According to Ann-Marie MacKay, Sales and Marketing Director, Sky and NOW TV: “NOW TV has arrived for customers looking for a no strings relationship with their TV. Designed for those who want to stream brilliant content without committing to a contract – whether that’s diving into the drama of Game of Thrones, laughing along with the latest must-see movie or feeling the pressure during a Lions test match. Customers simply sign up, choose a pass and start streaming on whatever device they want.”

The new service is available across multiple platforms that have internet access. It can also be accessed via a Roku-powered NOW TV Box which turns ordinary TVs into a “smart” TV.
