Mediavest Strengthens Senior Team with Key Appointments

The Core Media-owned Mediavest has made a number of key appointments including the appointment of Ruairi McNally as head of digital, replacing Colm Sherwin, who has taken up a new role as group digital media director with Core Media.

McNally has 12 years’ experience working in digital media and joins Mediavest from Mindshare UK, where he led digital transformation projects for brands including American Express, ITV and News K as well as major initiatives on behalf of the UK government. He began his career as media director at AVBrowne.

Elsewhere, Aileen McDaid has also been appointed as director of digital. This is a new role in the agency and she will also serve on the board of directors of Mediavest.

She brings with her more than a decade of experience in digital media, gained in London, Sydney, Melbourne and Dublin where she has worked on major accounts including HSBC, Tesco, BUPA and General Electric. Aileen’s experience also spans across the telco, FMCG, retail, entertainment and tourism sector.

Mediavest has also announced that Gemma Corbett has rejoined Mediavest as board director, having previously worked for the agency between 2006 and 2011. She joins from sister agency Mediaworks, where she led accounts such as Liberty Insurance, McDonalds and Irish Life.

Her previous positions include sales director at O2 Media (now Three Media), specializing in mobile innovation and personalized advertising. Gemma holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from DIT and has 14 years’ experience working across media agencies and media owner groups.
