The Marketing Society Future Council is hosting its inaugural “Influencing the Influencers” which is aimed at marketers with 3-5 years’ experience.

The event will feature speakers from across the industry who will share their views on how to be more influential.

The first event will take place in Foley’s Bar, 1 Merrion Row on October 13th at 6pm until late and is sponsored by DMG Media. Speakers Rory Hamilton, the executive creative director of Boys and Girls, Fiona Buckley, an independent corporate trainer and Padraig Hyland, communications coach, facilitator and speaker.

Tickets are available from €15 on marketingsociety.ie.

The Future Council is a new initiative from the Marketing Society, which launched earlier this year. With seven panel members who have worked in the industry for five years or less, the Future Council’s objective is to promote thought leadership for the future leaders of the marketing community.

The inaugural council is made up of a representative group of the society’s members with Chloe Murphy from Boys and Girls, Mary Sheahan from MCCP, David Deeley from Bord Bia, Dermot Markey from Mediaworks, Aoife Marron from Red C, Hannah-Louise Dunne from Radical and Karen Sheehan from IPSOS MRBI.

Working alongside the General Council, the Future Council will also support the Council in delivering high calibre events that appeal to marketers at all levels and assist with the development of the society’s digital offering, including the Society’s online database of case studies and talks.

“The Future Council are very passionate about peer-to-peer networking and sharing experiences and insights with each other as they move up the career ladder.  Their first event is shaping up to be a must attend networking opportunity for anyone making their way in the marketing world,” says Claire McFerran,  the new Chair of the Marketing Society of Ireland.
