The Waterford-based WLR FM has expanded its sales arm with the introduction of WLR Creative Solutions.

With more and more clients looking for alternatives to spot advertising, WLR seized on a gap in the local market to produce “engaging, creative web and social content for advertisers.”

This includes a complete video production service, client blogs and social media account management. In addition to working with Urban Media on national accounts, WLR Creative Solutions has created impactful social campaigns directly for Bank of Ireland, Walsh’s Bakehouse, Chia Bia, Spirit Leisure, Sheridan’s Ford, Kingfisher Gyms and many more.

According to Des Whelan, WLR’s managing director, “radio consumption in Ireland is changing thanks to the growth of digital and our advertisers want to be a part of that, so WLR Creative Solutions is really just catering for demand and there’s no doubt that this is an area of the radio business that will continue to grow.”

The new unit is being headed up by Sinead Sullivan who take on the role of head of creative solutions, overseeing all creative and commercial digital content, moving from her previous position in sales.
