AIB Scores in All Ireland Takeover of Connolly Station

With all eyes focused on the Dublin vs Mayo clash in the All Ireland Football Final, AIB has staked its claim as one of the biggest backers of GAA with full advertising domination of Connolly train station in central Dublin.

The GAA themed creative features on all formats within the station, including Commuter Points, dPods, Transvision and various specials such as hanging banners and the wrapping of the walls and tunnels in the station as well as the ticket barriers.

In a a twist to the campaign, GAA quiz questions appear on the digital formats that allow commuters test their GAA knowledge while waiting for their train, while also offering the opportunity to win a pair of the most coveted tickets in town.

According to the Heavy Rail Census carried out in November 2015, Connolly station is the busiest in the country and accounted for in excess of 29,000 boardings and alightings on that day.

The Connolly domination was planned and placed by Starcom and Source out of home with creative by Rothco. The screen game was developed by Radical.
