Dave Smyth steps down as MD of Ogilvy & Mather

Prior to this, he was managing director of OgilvyOne for nearly seven years. He is also a former director of Dimension and worked for Warner Music for a number of years as its marketing manager.

He is due to leave the job at the end of May and intends to take some time off before taking on “fresh” challenge.

According to Ogilvy Ireland CEO, JP Donnelly; “I’d like to thank Dave for the enormous contribution he has made to the company during the past 12 years, particularly in building our integrated offering and for his vision and leadership.  I know he will be sadly missed by all his colleagues and friends in Ogilvy, and on all our behalves I would like to wish him every success in his future career.”
