Mediavest Retains Nissan and Aviva Accounts

IMG_8350-1Mediavest has retained two key accounts believed to be worth in excess of €6m following two competitive pitches.

Both Aviva and Nissan have extended their relationship with the Core Media-owned agency as a result.

The pitch for Nissan was a local affair and included Renault-Nissan’s global agency OMD, while the Aviva pitch was at both a global and local one. Mediavest had been working with both clients for a combined eleven years.

Commenting on the win, agency managing director Michael Clancy said, “We are always happy to win new business, but particularly delighted to retain clients, the real test of an agency.  Coming on the back of retaining TG4 and the ESB Group last year, it shows that our strategy of embracing digital and data is helping us to retain some of Ireland’s most innovative and dynamic advertisers. We are excited to continue working with Aviva and Nissan and to help them compete in their challenging markets.”

Commenting on the appointment, Jeanne McGann Head of Marketing in Nissan said: “After a very competitive pitch process we are delighted to announce that we are appointing our incumbent agency Mediavest as our media agency of record. Nissan has grown from strength to strength in Ireland over recent years and was the number one car brand in sales in March of this year.  Mediavest have been a trusted partner and an integral part of this success.  We look forward to continuing the great work we have been doing together.”
