Irish Agencies Do Well in EACA Awards

A number of Irish promotional and marketing agencies walked away with awards at the annual the EACA Integrated Marketing Council Awards which were announced this week. In total Irish agencies won two gold, eight silver and five bronze awards.

Irish agencies Geometry@Ogilvy and Imagine Marketing picked up a gold each with the former winning in the Brand Building category for work with client Smithwicks at its visitor centre in Kilkenny. Imagine’s gold, meanwhile, came in the competitive Retail and Trade Marketing category for its work with Spin 1038 and its Sandstorm campaign.

The other big winners on the night were the Rothco-owned Guns and Knives, which picked up four silver awards; PublicisD which picked up three silver and three bronze awards; Verve, which won a silver; Irish International, which picked up a bronze and Imagine Marketing, which also picked up a bronze in addition to its gold award.

Speaking at the event Niamh O’Kennedy, chairperson of the APMC said “Ireland’s success at the EACA Integrated Marketing Awards is a testament to the level of creativity and talent in our industry.  That Ireland received the second highest number of awards across Europe is a hugely gratifying result for us, and one we would aspire to build on in the future.”
