Irish International has been shortlisted for two Epica Awards. The awards are a celebration of creativity and attract thousands of entries from more than 70 countries. Irish International is also the only Irish agency to have secured nominations at the prestigious global creative awards.

Irish International has been shortlisted for its work for the Road Safety Authority (Mobile phone use, “Anatomy of a Split Second”) and Guinness Rugby (“Anthem”). Irish International will now join the top advertising and communications agencies from across the globe at an awards ceremony to take place in Berlin on November 19th.

Dylan Cotter, Executive Creative Director, Irish International BBDO said: “We’re delighted that our work is being recognised globally and equally thrilled to be sharing the stage with some of the biggest advertising agencies in the world in Berlin next week, where as the only Irish agency to be shortlisted we’ll be flying the flag for Irish creative work.”

Shortlisted entries will go through to the grand jury, which meets in Berlin next week and the Gold and Grand Prix winners will be announced during a ceremony at the Kino International Cinema in Berlin on November 19th. Silver and Bronze winners will be published on the Epica Awards website on November 20th.

This year Epica received almost 4,000 entries from 75 countries, a 5% increase on 2014. Germany, Canada, Turkey and the USA did especially well, along with Lebanon, Romania, Spain and Japan. New countries this year included Azerbaijan, Ecuador, Iran, Ivory Coast and Senegal.

Epica’s jury is made up of 54 editors and senior journalists at the leading advertising and marketing magazines in 44 countries around the world. IMJ magazine is the Irish representative on the Epica jury.
