Following a competitive tender, RTÉ’s digital division has announced that FreeWheel is to supply RTÉ with its advertising management and monetisation platform. This move will allow RTÉ to deliver unified video advertising delivery across all its digital products.
FreeWheel’s solutions are used by the largest broadcast networks in the U.S. and in Europe, enabling these key players to better manage and generate revenue from their ad-supported content on desktop, mobile, OTT, and traditional STB devices.
“FreeWheel’s Monetisation Rights Management (MRM) platform will allow RTÉ to consolidate its video advertising operations across all screens and devices. FreeWheel will provide RTÉ’s digital division with new features to enable and deliver further innovation to the marketplace across multiple platforms,” according to Conor Mullen, Commercial Director of RTÉ’s digital division.
